Build yourself an extra Arm! Remote-controlled and fluid-powered, you can use it to pick up your room, eat snacks, stack blocks, play a game, or battle against other Hydraulic Arms. Kids really engineer their own Arm in this guided activity, tinkering with where to place the cylinders and how to link their parts as they design, test, and redesign the ultimate grabbing machine. This “Advanced” Arm has 8 hydraulic cylinders (4 that move the Arm, and 4 that form the control panel). Grades 6 – 12+ (different documents for different ages). Some adult assistance is helpful for 6th-graders. TeacherGeek is not a toy; it’s way better! Kids love making real things, especially when they get to use age-appropriate tools. Kids will need a TeacherGeek Multi-Cutter, TeacherGeek Reamer, and Phillips screwdriver to build their Arms.
