Kemtec Stoichiometry Kit contains sufficient materials for 28 students working in groups of 4 along with instructor manual, student manuals, MSDS sheets, lab quiz sheets, toothpicks, pipettes, pencil lead, forceps, empty plastic bottles with caps, cotton string, microplates, copper nitrate, nickel nitrate, lead nitrate, cobalt nitrate, nitric acid, aluminum nitrate, iron nitrate, sodium carbonate, sodium sulfate, sodium chloride, EDTA, sodium iodide, sodium thiocyanate, sodium chromate, sodium dichromate, sodium hydroxide, calcium nitrate, sodium oxalate, copper sulfate hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid. Experiments include types of chemical reactions, the reaction of calcium nitrate and sodium oxalate, the reaction of lead nitrate and sodium iodide. This module explores the types of chemical reactions, mole ratios and stoichiometric equivalents, which are central to all chemical calculations. Students perform a series of three experiments which relate the mole concept to the balancing of equations.
